I don't do preppy looks often but this time I decided to go all out and incorporate a bow tie and colored geeks.

This was my Saturday wear for a friend's event and I totally love the pin  striped white and blue blazer. The weather was a ishy with the sun getting hot and dull at the same time so it was a struggle to find the perfect lighting for the pictures

I did a lil' bit color blocking with the crazy green button up shirt, green shorts and hot pink pointy pumps

                                      I balanced the craziness with a black patent purse

If there is a trend that is inescapable, its denim! Thats where I bring in the denim vest, this trendy piece is versatile, flattering, and adds edge to even the girliest pieces in our wardrobes. Thats why I decided to pair it up with a turquoise green pleated skirt and color blocked it with a hot pink tank

I went for  this faded, sun-kissed light blue that looks great with just about every other color, especially since my outfit is color blocked to give it a color clash rather than a match. I love the back at the back....the tiny bows are just soooo cute.

2013 is all about bold patterns and the printed pants do not fall off the radar......I liked this floral pair but had quite some challenge getting the best blouse to go with it.

I went for solid colors to balance off the noisy print......the pants are high waisted, so i did a white hi- lo button up shirt

My accessories were very few.....a pearl DIY neck piece and a cobalt blue bib neckace then finished it off with patent black sling backs

Beautiful month huh!  but super hot....I was excited about the elections and as we wait for the results how about a lil bit fashion talk. I wore this dress for church this sunday, its a vintage peplum I got while thrifting. This is one of the pieces that just calls out to me and a thousand ideas were alrealdy going thro' my mind.

The floral 90's look is sooo me, the lower part was Initially humongous but i decided to tailor it to my preference. I went  for the midi length and elongated the slit at the back.

I kept my accessories mnimal....a black suede clutch, cobalt blue pearls and peach H&M pointed pumps.

Hello dolls.......I wore this ensemble some time last week. I decided to go for a simple tee and skirt for a very casual day.

I played around with stripes my 2013 fave trend...the tee with medium horizontal stipes and the skirt's large vertical stripes. Then the tiny stripes on my strappy sandals

I kept the accessories very minimal but color popping with the tangerine bow, red floral earrings , a cobalt blue butterfly belt and a simple black chain bag

 Honestly, I am obsessed with this summer trend......STRIPES. Not only are they adorable and chic, they add that bold and daring element to your look. I recently just bought these pants, ofcos I was concerned I might end up looking like a jailbird but the eclectic part of me had to have em. 

I first spotted nautical vertical striped pants on Elle MacPhearson in the fashion star reality show and since then being hoping to get me a perfect pair. They are really dramatic trousers and definitely make a statement. I was concerned about looking like a jailbird but the eclectic side of to me won over so i had to add it in my closet. 

I always find black and white goes well with bold hues so i went for the red cropped jacket and a bold bronze neck piece.

   

                        I kept the accessories to a minimal and added a non competing blue woven purse 

I did a black tank and black booties so as not to compete with the stripes, then
a tangerine hair bow

Black and white is one of the biggest 2013 tend and I find myself subconsciously buying lots of it in my closet, so I fully intend to indulge in this trend fully. I came across this stripped maxi in my thrifting endeavours sometime in december and I knew exactly how I wanted to wear it. I believe every girl should have atleast one maxi in their wardrobe especially as a summer staple.Originally the dress was flared so i decided to  alter it a little bit at the bottom half and make it more pencil shaped.I went for the horizontal stripes as they tend to elongate my curves as am quite petite. 

I went for the horizontal stripes as they enhance my curves as am quite petite. A  fitting maxi  is better than a tight hugging maxi as it may look tacky if care is not taken.

I went for a more demure and edgy feeling to dress it, the denim cropped jacket was to give it a more relaxed look. The black ankle brogues are just my favourite go to flatties. Well, most of my friends tend to find them quite ugly but i love the way they can change your look in a snap and i find them to be very stylish, vintagey and unique.

I went for pops of color in styling my hair to bring some ooommmph to the outfit. I did a combo of two scarves, orange with black polka and an electric magenta one. The accessories were minimal, a red and bronze pedant neckpiece and butter yellow loops.

                  The bag is a vintage from my mums 80's closet and am currently in love with these  avatars

Hellllllooooo everyone.....feels like a looong minute since i have blogged, been really held up with the new year but I remembered to take pics for your sake. Well i did braids just the other day, i find them to be very convenient with a busy schedule and can be styled numerous ways. Onto my outfit....finally i got to break in my new babies (louboutins) and am totally in love with them. I find myself inclined to buy pointy toes since yester year, they can go with literally anything.

I got this white military shirt some time in december and could not wait to style it up. I wore the outfit for casual friday, thats why i tucked in the shirt and went with the pointy pumps to bring some seriousness to the outfit. I like it because it has the essence of a basic white shirt and just plain denim jeans

The shirt can be worn the normal way or as a pilot shirt.....i preferred the pilot way. I carried a a tan purse and added color blocked earrings for that pop of color then the avatar sunglasses!

Hey dolls, happy new year (belated) well its been sometime coming but better late than never right? For my 1st post of the year, i thought i would summarise my picture posts of 2012, so if you missed any of it....you are in lu

I find styling jumpsuits to be really tricky, you have to consider your shape and figure, otherwise you find your self in some fashion police cap. This was my outfit for my brother's graduation,I got this butter yellow one in my thrifting escapades....its a lil' baggy which i prefer because it doesn't crinkle around the hip and thigh area.

I particularly loved the collars at the front and back. The back is has a low neck while the front is shorter and peter pan. I threw in the jungle green vest to bring some seriousness to the outfit, but threw it off when it got extra warm

I did the little pops of color by adding a neon pink skinny belt, color blocked earrings and the cobalt blue platforms and matching tweed purse borrowed from my sisters closet.

            I totally love the back it soo party at the back while business at the front.

             I added a tangerine scarf with black polka dots to serve as my hair band.
