Hello fashionettes,  I hope you are having a lovely week. A wrap dress or skirt is one of those closet staples every gal should own. This classic piece was created by Diane Von Furstenberg in the 60's and ever since its been a revolution in the fashion industry.  its ideal for every shape and size and it flaunts what your momma gave ya.

I found this skirt in my shopping escapades and loved it from the word go. It drapes so well and I love the rouching at the front. The color and paisley print was a plus, and the fact that it was midi, yea am totally obscessed.

I paired it with a lace cropped top, played peekaboo with the midriff and showed some leg at the front since the outfit is all covered up. I finished it off with ankle strap sandals to add some glamour and sexiness to the outfit, then carried this bronze clutch I was gifted by my mum.

I kept the accessories minimal and simple because the skirt was loud enough

This past Saturday was my birthday and boy did I have a moment. Its one of those eerie feelings when you get to reflect how far you have come, what is done and yet to be done. The people in my life, who mean the world to me and just a thank you note for all you out there who believe in me and are super fans of my blog......God bless you all.
When it comes to my fashion sense....as i grow older, so does it, and I find myself getting attracted to more demure, classic feel of style. The secret is always to embrace it rather than dress for the wrong age.
In this outfit post, I saw myself going for a neon lace pink skirt, something i have not done in a very long while. To avoid feeling all skimpy, i paired it up with an oversize white sheer lace top to balance off the outfit. I grabbed my cobalt blue court heels and a gold clutch and I was ready to shwish the day away.
The accessories comprised of cobalt blue pearls turn to a bracelet, a bronze belt turned to a bracelet and a boyfriend watch. Then, a color blocked neckpiece and gold clutch both gifted by my dear, sweet friend and fellow fashionista julez from a trip to Thailand.

My deepest apologies for the long hiatus, I have no excuse for it but no single day has passed without feeling guilty for the silence. Thank you for your emails and requests for my come back to blogging, and my sincere gratitude for checking up on me.
Back to fash talk, the weather has been really unpredictable of late but that could not deter me from doing a very chic summer look....I know I know.....we all love the sunny warm days. My love for lace has not died down one single bit, so I decided to pull a well put together yet flirty outfit with a lace blouse and a pleated mini, with hot pink pointy pumps. What I love about this look is that it can pass for a formal office wear, just add a blazer and you are good to go.
I went for a statement  Marc by Marc Jacobs  tote bag, which took all the attention so i kept all the other accessories minimal. Oh and am so in love with these cat eye sunglasses, they go well with my long extensions.

Last month we had a bloggers challenge to pull monochrome looks...I took this pictures and completely forgot to post them, my apologies. I went for a very simple look with an off white  knit dress and matching pointy toe pumps and clutch bag
I added pops of color with the purple lipstick, citric orange belt with a corsage, which I wore at the back and drop cobalt blue earrings

Hallo fashionettes, Is it cold or cold....whaaat! I feel like I have frost fingers as I write this. What a way to start the week but oh well....its inevitable. I wore this outfit one of those rare sunny days we have been blessed with, so do not think am in Miami or something....Am very much in niarobi.
I love this skirt....I do not wear it much but the few times I do...i make sure I make a statement out of the outfit. I decided to do a little matchy matchy on it by adding a touch of gold to black.
I'm obsessed with neon blue polish.... sigh
Finished it off with these distressed gold peep toes and voila! that was my midas touch.

How more feminine can lace be.....I find it quite girly with a touch of sexy. It was such a huge trend in 2011 but the beauty of it, is that it never goes of style. So, you can imagine my delight when I came across this hi-lo top. With the sun baring down on us lately....It was perfect for this weather.
I paired it up with these distressed jeans for a little edgy feeling, one because of the colliding of the two different textures and two being the jeans was low waist.
I used pops of bold color to add some sassiness to the outfit...This Chloe chain bag is one of my faves because it fits most of  stuff and the color is just adorbs.
I complemented it with the scarlett red pumps, love the studs on the side and you would never believe I got 'em for only ksh 100,no bargaining no nothing....well I am still pinching myself in disbelief.
I did different shades of purple with the violet earrings and the bag....then I did a side pony of my hair and added cobalt blue pearls as a hair band

Hey dolls...... Happy new week.....Its amazing how time is flying, days seem to just fly by....still cannot believe we in May....yea almost half way. Well the weather is amaze.....its a 'moanday' but its bright, sunny and lovely. What other way to get fash-inspired. I am not much into skirts but I gotta say I have been lately drawn to 'em....so I am making a pact to blog  more skirt posts.
I wore this outfit over the weekend at my cousins event. I got this skirt a few weeks back, twas a perfect fit....I did not change a thing about it. I had an urge to make it a pencil skirt but oh well thought I would first try it out long....so it came in handy for that event. I especially loved the side slit....it add some sexy to the skirt...you know flash some lil' leg.
I paired it up with a lace blouse.....which I had to literally overturn my closet to find, I got it a while ago but forgot about it till I needed it...quite a bad habit I have developed....it seemed the perfect fit....I tucked it in then was on the prowl for a belt. I could not get any that befitted my outfit.....so I went for a tangerine neck piece and tied it at the back and voila! it was just perfect.
My accessories were popping......I went for a nubian queen head look with the head and Egyptian inspired drop earrings. My purse was small and African print....then, added strappy nude sandals and was ready to strut.
