This weekend was a dressy affair for me, On Saturday I did the stripped dress and on Sunday this particular body con one.I have an obsession for midi skirts and dresses, I love the way they skim through the body and are figure flattering. I got this Top shop dress as I was thrifting and I liked the red wine color and mostly the length and it was just perfectly fitting. But what I love the most about this dress is; you can dress it up or down, you can add a fitting blazer for an office wear look. You can also glam it up for an evening look or you can just pull it off as i did.
I decided to let the dress stand for itself, so I went for nude platforms, I had wished to do strappy sandals but I could not get any from my closet that complemented the dress so I settled for these peeptoes
I went for pastel accessories, my nail polish and huge ring. And I love me this spiked earrings......it brought some edginess to the outfit

I got a confession to make, I love me some rugby.....and its not about the well built men running around with an egg shaped ball (okay who am I kidding) its a plus though *wink. When I want to unwind, its the surest way of letting go. So this Saturday, I was at the RFUEA grounds rooting for my team, which eventually lost *sad sigh* but too much fun to dampen my spirits.
I was looking for something uber comfortable, stylish and still girly at the same time. So, i opted for this stripped maxi, fitting and with a pencil hem. I always find that black and white stripes always go well with bold hues, hence the edgy red flatties and the neon green skinny belt.
For a summer chic look, I added the straw fedora and the vintage chanel hobo cross body bag and finish it off with a bold lip.
My accessories were few; i love this hello kitty pendant....its sooo cute, a cross ring and tiny neon pink earrings.

Halloooo Halloooo.....whos more excited about the summer than me! yea, we been waiting for the cold to come to an end and now its time to unleash the dresses and all those cute little shorts we have been storing for the right time.

Well, this Saturday i had the honor of attending one of my childhood friend's wedding and was really humbled by the experience. I went for a very simple and demure look and for once I let out my hair down. My hair is very light and scattered so I tend to avoid having it down.
I went for this floral maxi with a pair or gold distressed heels with a cobalt blue suede front.
My accessories were very minimal....a pair of a pearl necklace that i turned into a bracelet, simple gold drop down bronze earrings, an owl bronze ring, an emerald green neckpiece and finished it off with a pink rouged lipstick.

Last month we had a bloggers challenge to pull monochrome looks...I took this pictures and completely forgot to post them, my apologies. I went for a very simple look with an off white  knit dress and matching pointy toe pumps and clutch bag
I added pops of color with the purple lipstick, citric orange belt with a corsage, which I wore at the back and drop cobalt blue earrings

Happy Friday my good people......mmmh the smell of the weekend just drifting and I could not be happier....you know what am talking about! Lets talk fashion....right?
This is an outfit I wore last friday on my way to run a few errands....I have wrote about this maxi before in my blog archives,. so this time I decided to add a touch of boho and a lil' glam to it and brought in the cropped top with the pop of color and the accessories. I love how such a tops can change an outfit in a snap...I wore mine off shoulder for that peekaboo effect on the maxi.
I had a thought to cinch it up at the waist but decided against it at the last minute.
I held my hair up in a high pony to show off this gorge emerald green drop earrings and added this cobalt blue bib necklace.
Finished it off with a bold red lip, black booties and this magenta satchel bag!

One of those chilly days that i decided to unleash this trench dress hat I have neglected for quite a while now.....I got it more than 3 years ago and its one of those statement pieces that never go out of style.
Pardon me...i took pics when it was quite late and they are a lil bit dark....but well they will serve the purpose
I love the vintage feeling to it and the huge button details
I did minimal accessories so i decided to incorporate these teal pearls in my hair....and i plaited it into the pony tail then added a tangerine hair band.
I topped the accessories up with an electric green scarf and yellow beaded earrings from New Blakk Accessories. I added a paisely scarf to the bag to add some oooomph to it.
The booties are BCBG Max Azria, aren't the ruffles just adorable

Hi y'all feels like a minute but got down with a bout of flu last week and it was the worst i have ever had. But am fine and am believing you to be fab too.
Well i finally got to do my hair and i went for something very simple that i can play around with.
I got this denim shirt dress in Machakos as i was visiting home a few weeks ago and i could not wait to dress it up. There are countless ways to wear this dress and i will break it down for you as time goes by.
I wore it simply just like a dress, buttoned it up and added a gold collar necklace to spruce up the outfit
I added a pop of color with the tangerine tassel earrings and held my hair up in a side pony and roped it up.
Finished it off with these bronze peep toe ankle boots from chinese laundry with ruffles and carried a brown leather bag

Hello my good people.....yey its Furahi day....yea been wishing for this weekend, so much happening and lots to choose from. Been off a lil bit but now am back with this tangerine ensemble.....2012 has been all about that pop of color and i could not resist this bold hue for a sunny day. It is a spring color that still translates to the summer.
This shirt dress is a Bombes international 2012 spring collection and i liked the zip details on it and the boat neck...well which i translated to an off shoulder for a flirty look
I added an electric lemon scarf that i used to cinch the dress and add more color on it,then made a pussy bow at the back
My accessories were also bold....the pointed deep sky blue pumps and the statement bib necklace.
Finished it off with this multicolored weaved purse and a floral ring

Happy belated new month y'all, i have been quite lost and i really missed blogging, i think i am getting the hang of it nowadays and its getting to be part of my daily do's. Have you ever felt like the days are just rushing and you have no idea how its happening? i have been in one of those lately, i still can't believe its August but am really looking forward for the sweet summer, i have incredible outfits to try on.  Its really a frustrating time as the weather is transitioning from cold to the summer especially if you get caught up in some impromptu rain showers you did not anticipate. Well this was one of those days i wasn't sure of the weather so i decided to go for this 60s inspired retro dress.
I liked it because of the vintagey feeling it exudes, the midi length and pleated bottom is so 1960s. I considered tailoring the length and making it shorter but was like nah.....i will go with it just as it is.
Thats why i paired it up with black tights and the high heeled brogues to add me some height otherwise flat shoes would make it look frumpy because of the heavy bottom of the dress. The fabric feels like a cotton blend and it has a cream colored attached collar and lapels on the sleeves and the bodice closes with a black colored button.
I kept the accessories simple and did white pearls, to add an elegant look for the whole outfit, my baby blue loops  and an amber orange chain bag. I roped my braids sideways to keep it simple. Well i got to say i was warm the rest of the day and i did not need a sweater, cover up or scarf and when the sun was out i was still cool because of the cotton fabric.
