Its been really hot of late so yesterday i decided to pull a very relaxed summer look. I pulled out this sleeveless cropped denim shirt with two tails at the front meant for tying.
I paired it up with this green sheer maxi, i decide to give an ooomph to it so i cut the slit high up to my knees
I reallly love this multicolored lesso head scarf and i tied a bow to it then my favorite kitenge earrings of all time from Bridgets collection.
Finished it off with these fuschia slingbacks and the black straw basket.

This oufit screams out girly in not so many words. The sun was scorching as early as 8 a.m so i decided to go flirty in this A- line mini
I paired it up with this sheer zebra print blouse and accessorised it with a cobalt blue collar necklace
I'm finding myself quite attracted to turqoise green offlate and i tend to but get off by getting so much stuff in that color. I will just go ahead and declare it my 2012 obcession color.
Finally....i wore this strappy off white with leopard print platforms for a more relaxed look to the outfit and carried a brown crocodile skin bag.

This outfit combines four of my favorite trends of 2012; pleats, the maxi skirt, prints and color blocking. I decided to do a spring combination of colors.....the cobalt blue skirt with a mint green blouse. I tied the blouse to elongate the midriff and steer away from the outfit looking too officy
What i love most about maxi skirts is that they are versatile and can be dressed up for a night out or down for a low key look. I went for the casual look in this post
I added a pop of  neon pink with the belt and head scarf for some ooomph
I carried a printed oversized purse with an array of lovely colors to navigate from the spring look i had on.
My accessories were very minimal, just a burgundy red bracelet and a bronze ring. Not forgetting the platforms.....i got this babies just the other day and and am in love with the turqoise green suede blended with the florals heel
Finished it off with off-white earrings and a bold scarlet red lip

Howdy dolls, before  the maxi skirt trend came on i had never pictured myself wearing floor skimming lengthy skirts at any given time but i saw them on the runway and i could not wait to get myself one this piece. It has a drammatic feel and a graceful draping to it makes you feel swimming in it. It is so simple and it makes a statement on it own so i kept it the blouse basic with just a touch of lace.
I decided to go for a chic minimalism look, nothing edgy just simple. The lace top, i totally like 'cause of the peekaboo cleavage it shows little without looking overdone. The basket is one of my fave bags ,its a carry all and am guilty of repeating it oftenly  especially when am running errands and going for a simple yet stylish look. It was a really a hot day so the sunglasses  were a must add-on. The clogs,i was dying to wear them since the last time i blogged about them just after i got them, hence thought i would match them with the top, they are super comfortable....i can actually run in them. The braids....well i cannnot wait to get them off....have you ever stalled a lil longer with  a hairstyle wondering what to do with your hair....am in one of those predicaments and oh.....i need me a good.....suggestions are exremely welcome.
Okay, i could not resist doing a swirl......... and the swift breeze was a good nudge and i was in a heavenly pool of awesomeness......felt like a lil girl......

Sup fashionistas..... i believe you are having an awesome week. I got a new outfit for y'all....i wore this for sunday brunch with the gals, the sun was out and what better way to wear a simple summer outfit. I felt like Julia Roberts in pretty woman, which is quite rare for me coz i don't do alot of skirts but this was too pretty to ignore....the color and the pleats were a plus and i was breezing along the streets of Nairobi.
I paired it with a tangerine blouse with tiered off-white detail and a flowered print 80's inspired print clutch, the plum belt...well you have seen it before and i totally love it especially the buckle
I have had the skirt for a while now....i got it in Machakos (my home town) but this is my favourite combo i did with it. I did the nude and white double sole sling backs to break off the color so as not to compete with the outfit.

MY ACCESSORIES:
Cobalt blue button chandelier earrings, 80's flower print clutch, cocktail ring, citrus orange hair bow and my lovely  nude and white double sole shoes
