Happy easter dolls! Quite a long weekend it was and i loved everybit of it especially since I had to be with family....and actually had the chance to meet my great aunts, uncles, cousins.....t'was awesome. Since it was such an event, I went for a subtle yet respectable look and hence dorned this Kitenge print tuxedo jacket from my designs.
I paired it up with these knife-pleated pallazo pants and my cropped white button up shirt. I accesorised the shirt with a vintage sun shaped brooch, added no more jewellery since the african is busy.
I finished the look with peach pumps and a matching belt. The sunglasses,, i totally love especially coz of the round structure and cat eyed edges.
The animal print detail on the inside of the shoe is adorbs.
Since I am always on a style prowl with my camera, I had to capture these looks below;
My lil' sister was looking all adorable in this batik bubble dress she designed for herself with black suede platforms.
My gorge cousin killed it with this polka dot blue and white dress, a red bold lip, yellow purse and gold flat peeptoes. She looked like she stepped out of a 70's movie scene.
Finally my baby sister in a grey frock, black tights and gladiator sandals

One of my current obcessions this season is simple t- shirts, I find them very versatile and playful. You can dress them up and down and still be super chic. I decided to do black and white pictures....to give you an illusion of its simplicity without the colors and all.
I paired it up with drop waisted pencil pants, a satchel bag and simple pumps for a day of running errands.
Well I cdn't leave you hanging no more.......heres a sneak peek of the outfit in color!

I don't do preppy looks often but this time I decided to go all out and incorporate a bow tie and colored geeks.
This was my Saturday wear for a friend's event and I totally love the pin striped white and blue blazer. The weather was a ishy with the sun getting hot and dull at the same time so it was a struggle to find the perfect lighting for the pictures
I did a lil' bit color blocking with the crazy green button up shirt, green shorts and hot pink pointy pumps
I balanced the craziness with a black patent purse
Stripped blazer- H&M
Green shorts- Banana Republic
Pointy pumps- Aldo
Purse- Toi Market

What do you think of my outfit......drop a line below!
If there is a trend that is inescapable, its denim! Thats where I bring in the denim vest, this trendy piece is versatile, flattering, and adds edge to even the girliest pieces in our wardrobes. Thats why I decided to pair it up with a turquoise green pleated skirt and color blocked it with a hot pink tank
I went for this faded, sun-kissed light blue that looks great with just about every other color, especially since my outfit is color blocked to give it a color clash rather than a match. I love the back at the back....the tiny bows are just soooo cute.
I adore pleats....they so flirty and fun
I accessorised the vest with a silver neck piece and yellow loops
Finished it off with these sexy leopard print booties
Denim vest- Thrifted
Pleated skirt- Toi Market
Booties- Vince Camuto
Pink tank- H&M
Floral belt- Thrifted
2013 is all about bold patterns and the printed pants do not fall off the radar......I liked this floral pair but had quite some challenge getting the best blouse to go with it.
I went for solid colors to balance off the noisy print......the pants are high waisted, so i did a white hi- lo button up shirt
My accessories were very few.....a pearl DIY neck piece and a cobalt blue bib neckace then finished it off with patent black sling backs
White shirt- Thrifted
Floral pants- Elegant
Black sling backs- Ericos collection
Drop earrings- New blakk accessories
Pearl necklace- DIY
Bib necklace- Perida centre
Beautiful month huh! but super hot....I was excited about the elections and as we wait for the results
how about a lil bit fashion talk. I wore this dress for church this sunday, its a vintage peplum I got while thrifting. This is one of the pieces that just calls out to me and a thousand ideas were alrealdy going thro' my mind.
The floral 90's look is sooo me, the lower part was Initially humongous but i decided to tailor it to my preference. I went for the midi length and elongated the slit at the back.
I kept my accessories mnimal....a black suede clutch, cobalt blue pearls and peach H&M pointed pumps.
